PANGAEA Expedition 2008 - 2012:  Mike Horn, a modern explorer, known for his individual and extreme expeditions has organised « Pangea Expedition 2008-2012 » to raise young adults awareness about respect for the planet " Together we can contact the most powerful energy the world knows that of the younger generation, to help find solutions for tomorrow"
His background: Starting out from Ushuaïa in 2008, Mike Horn and his team have made many stops: Brazil, Cape Town, New Zealand, Sydney, The great Barrier Reef, Yokohama in Japon, Hong Kong, Singapour, Malaisia and Indonesia. Early 2010, « Pangaea Expedition » set sail to India, then Mike Horn crossed the Himalayas on foot, to China to arrive in Shanghai. At the end of 2010 he will return to Japan to deal with waste in the Pacific.

Pangaea the sailing yacht was designed and built with this expedition in mind integrating the most innovative of renewable energy technology.
There was  lengthy collaboration between the team  « Pangea Expedition » and Incidences design office waset le Bureau Etudes Incidences for this 105 ft sailing yacht.  Mid October we delivered 5 sails to Shanghai. This new sail wardrobe was made from spectra laminate from  Dimension-Polyant and perfectly corresponds to the extreme sail program of   « Pangaea ». This new sail wardrobe consists of a roller furling Genoa and staysail, a Mainsail and mizzen staysail giving close to 500 m² of sail. This delivery went perfectly and we were able to conduct rapid trials on the river in from to the new area of Pudong known for its numerous sky scrapers.
Pangaea prepares to set her compass on the north Pole via the North east passage.
