Jules Verne Trophy: incredible new record by Banque Populaire V!

Extraordinary achievement by Loïck Peyron and his 14 crew members who have just brilliantly beaten  the record of the Jules Verne Trophy (crewed, non-stop sailing round the world).
They went round the planet in 45 days 13 hours and 42 minutes and so become the fastest men on the water.
Touchdown with an exceptional boat and a crew including Jean-Baptiste Levaillant (technical director of the Incidences sail-loft ).

Some figures:
Left on November 22nd of this year from Ouessant, the multihull of 40 m crossed the virtual finishing line on Friday, January 6th at 11:14 pm and 35 seconds so beating the previous record held by Franck Cammas by 2 days 18 hours and 01 minutes.
Loïck Peyron and his crew did 29.009 miles (that is approximately 52.220 km) at an average speed of 26,5 knots (48 kph).

Also added to the list of new records by Banque Populaire V during the Trophy:
- Record  Equator / Equator in 32 days, 11 hours, 51 minutes and 30 seconds
- Record of the fastest Crossing of the Indian Ocean (Cap des Aiguilles /  South of Tasmania) in 8 days 7 hours and 22 minutes and 15 seconds

Extraordinary, congratulations and thanks to Jean-Baptiste Le Vaillant, Thierry Chabagny, Pierre-Yves Moreau, Thierry Duprey du Vorsent, Emmanuel Le Borgne, Xavier Revil, Yvan Ravussin, Florent Chastel, Frédéric Le Peutrec, Juan Vila, Brian Thompson, Kevin Escoffier, Ronan Lucas, Marcel Van Triest and Loïck Peyron!
