The Virtual Regatta is truly an incredible media phenomenon… 9 days after the start, 100, 000 players have taken to the sea to sail their Vendee Globe! As of December 10th, there have been 200, 000 players on the water. An incredible strategic game on the oceans, this virtual game can account for more than 258, 172 sailors at sea! On board their personalized IMOCA 60 (name – color), virtual sailors must sail taking into account meteorological bulletins. They must face difficult passages where the winds are tricky, absent, or violent as well as cross mythical zones like the Doldrums, Cape Horn, the 40th latitudes, and the Kerguelen Islands … Available to all, the game entices not only pro sailors and adventurers of all types, but also entire families, company directors, students, retirees…. Notable also is the large number amongst them, who for the first time, are getting onto a boat....
