A fresh water rinse is recommended, to avoid salt build-up in the cloth. The lazy-bag and the mainsail covers are made of an acrylic material that allows the sail to breathe, nevertheless, it is a good idea to open out the lazy bag from time to time to allow the sail to dry and air.

Mainsail

Remember to let off the leech line.

Flake the sail in the lazy bag on the boom, using big folds and pulling on the leech.

Check that the battens are parallel to the boom.

Genoa
Remember to ease off the leech line.

Let off the halyard tension.

Give a couple of turns to the furler so that the sheets wind around the sail to prevent it unwinding if the wind gets up.

If you see a snag, don’t wait, bring your sail to the sail loft.
